AMERICAN FORK — A motorcyclist has died after a crash in American Fork, police say.
A car making a left turn at the intersection near 860 E. State Street crashed into the motorcycle Thursday morning, according to American Fork Police Lt. Josh Christensen. The motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Eastbound and westbound lanes in the area are closed because a medical helicopter landed on the road, according to KSL Newsradio’s Heather Kelly. The road is expected to reopen around 11 a.m., according to the Utah Department of Transportation website.
