SALT LAKE CITY — Emergency officials responded to multiple accidents Sunday evening that caused road closures across the state. On Monday morning, all were cleared except I-80 in Parleys Canyon.
I-80 WB, Parleys Canyon
The right lane of I-80 Westbound was closed following a crash in Parelys Canyon near East Canyon. The Utah Department of Transportation has instructed drivers to use I-84 or U.S. 40 to U.S. 189 as an alternate route.

As of 5 a.m. Monday, the right lane remained closed due to a semitruck fire, KSL TV reported. Motorists faced minor delays of less than five minutes, according to the KSL Traffic Center map.
Summit Ridge Parkway, Santaquin
Two people were injured in a rollover crash in Santaquin at 1431 S. Summit Ridge Parkway. Utah Highway Patrol officials said the 49-year-old man and 48-year-old woman were transported to the hospital in serious condition.
S.R. 17, Toquerville, Washington County
A medical chopper was also called to I-15 near Toquerville, Washington County, for another rollover crash. Both directions of state Route 17 will be closed until the accident is cleared.
