RIVERDALE — Police have arrested a man in connection to bomb threats that were reported Tuesday morning at a Lowe's hardware store.
Kenneth Gill, 60, was arrested Tuesday on investigation of terrorism threats, according to a statement released by the Riverdale Police Department.
Gill was recently terminated from the company and made the threat as retaliation, the news release stated.
Police first responded to the Lowe's, 4155 S. Riverdale Road, at 10:43 a.m. and the building was evacuated as a safety precaution, Riverdale Police Lt. Casey Warren said.
Employees told police a man had called the Lowe's, said there was a bomb in the building, then hung up.
Bomb detection K-9 units searched the building and found no signs of a bomb, according to the release.
Investigators found Gill by researching incoming phone numbers through the phone company, the release stated.
