A power outage crippled the tourist-filled heart of Manhattan just as Saturday night Broadway shows were set to go on, sending theater-goers spilling into siren-filled streets, knocking out Times Square's towering electronic screens and bringing subway lines to a near halt.

4. Weakened Barry rolls into Louisiana, drenches Gulf Coast

Barry rolled into the Louisiana coast Saturday, flooding highways, forcing people to scramble to rooftops and dumping heavy rain that officials had feared could test the levees and pumps that were bolstered after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005.

5. 'It was really loud': Man critically injured, family displaced after car crashes into Magna home

An 18-year-old man was critically injured and a family's home will have to be torn down after a car slammed into a house early Saturday morning.

1. Savarino's brace leads Real Salt Lake to 4-0 rout of East-leading Philadelphia

Jefferson Savarino had two goals and an assist, and Albert Rusnak and Damir Kreilach added a goal apiece as Real Salt Lake rolled to a 4-0 win Saturday over the Philadelphia Union in front of an announced crowd of 18,925 fans at Rio Tinto Stadium.

2. Royals FC stunned in stoppage time in loss to Sky Blue FC

For the third consecutive game, URFC was held without a goal. And for the second straight week, that led to a loss.

3. 16-year-old Preston Summerhays repeats as Utah State Amateur champion

Summerhays' latest triumph was a 7 & 6 victory over Utah State’s Chase Lansford, jumping out to a ridiculous start in Saturday’s 36-hole final of the annual amateur championship at Soldier Hollow golf course and then holding on for the win.

4. 'We love him, we miss him:' Angels honor former teammate Tyler Skaggs with near-perfect performance

A day before what would’ve been his 28th birthday, Tyler Skaggs' Los Angeles teammates put in a performance for the ages.

5. Jazz reportedly will sign Nigel Williams-Goss to 3-year deal

Nikos Varlas of eurohoops.net reported that Williams-Goss, who was with Olympiacos in Greece last season, will be signing a three-year deal with the Jazz.
