THE UPSIDE DOWN — July brings the release of what is quite possibly Netflix’s single most popular program.

The ultra-hyped “Stranger Things 3” will be available on the streaming service on July 4, according to a news release from the company. The throwback creature-feature series featuring a cast of kids will surely give Netflix an Independence Day viewership boost.

Also heading to Netflix next month is the 2018 Disney reboot/remake “Mary Poppins Returns,” which stars Emily Blunt in the titular role. It will be available on July 9.

Cinephiles will want to check out several classic films that will leave Netflix next month. “Cool Hand Luke,”“Doctor Zhivago” and “East of Eden” all will be unavailable starting July 1.
