SALT LAKE CITY — Mother’s Day is the best time of the year to show mothers how much we love and cherish them.

For anyone on a tight budget for gifts, some creativity may be needed to come up with some good presents that will express how much they care. Many choose to make gifts, deliver kind words, or scrape pennies together to purchase something nice or take their mothers out to eat.

Some Utah stores and restaurants are holding special Mother’s Day sales to help out those who want to treat their moms this Sunday. Here are 6 great discounts/freebies for your mother:


Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

Participating locations will be distributing $25 gift cards to all moms who order an entree at the restaurant. The deal is limited to one person per table and cannot be used for takeout or drinks. The gift cards will be valid until June 30, 2019. Additionally, families can enjoy the Surf & Turf entree for $49.95 on Sunday.


Moms can celebrate Mother’s Day with free frozen yogurt on Sunday all day. The offer varies by location and may include the first 6 ounces free or a small cup or cone of free yogurt.

Get up to 25 percent off on Mother’s Day gifts.

Kneaders Bakery and Cafe

Visitors can treat their moms to a free Chunky Cinnamon French Toast breakfast with any purchase of an entree on Saturday, May 11.

Even Stevens

Moms will receive a free entree during lunchtime on Mother’s Day at Even Stevens’ Sugar House location.


This restaurant is offering a three-course brunch menu for only $30 on Mother’s Day.
