SALT LAKE CITY — Police have identified a man who they say crashed a stolen car after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run on Saturday morning in Millard County.
Christian Harmond, 27, was arrested Saturday after leading police on a car chase and then crashing a stolen Ford Explorer into a ditch, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
The Ford Explorer was stolen from a body shop in Tooele on Friday night, UHP said. Harmond then allegedly got into an accident around 6:50 a.m. in Eureka before fleeing the scene. He led police on a chase on state Route 6 and through residential neighborhoods in Delta before crashing the car in a ditch.
Harmond was the only person in the vehicle, UHP said.
