SALT LAKE CITY — Two Riverton teens are dead and another one critically injured after a rollover crash in Juab County Thursday evening.

A pickup truck was traveling west on the Weiss Highway about 6:17 p.m. at a "high rate of speed" when it went off the road and rolled multiple times, according to the Juab County Sheriff's Office.

A 17-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys were thrown from the truck due to the crash.

"All three of the juvenile occupants were not wearing safety restraints and were ejected from the truck," the sheriff's office said.

One of the boys died at the scene, and the girl died upon arrival at the hospital. The other boy remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The Juab County Sheriff's Office said an investigation is underway to determine an exact cause of the crash.

"However, the primary contributing factors are related to high speed travel and disuse of occupant restraints," the sheriff's office said.
