THE NURSERY — The power struggle between fathers and sons is an ancient trope.
Jealousy, money and power are strong motivators in the story of humanity, and just because you’re family doesn’t make you immune to the power struggle. One father-son duo takes power struggle to the next level.
In this video, you’ll see a dad (aka B-doe) go head-to-head in a “rap battle” with his 5-month-old son, Quintin (aka San Quintin). One is armed with sick rhymes, and the other is armed with the most deadly weapon ever seen by humankind — raucous baby laughter.
OK, OK, so it’s not so much a power struggle as a video that will make your heart so happy. And I lied again, it’s not so much a rap battle as it is this dad trying to keep a straight face when he “trash talks” his sweet baby via busting rhymes.
But I’ll tell you what, little Quintin’s laugh is just about as amazing and joyful as they come. He’s locked on to dad’s every move, and every move is apparently the most hysterical thing this baby has ever seen.
Dad tried to stay “mean” and finish his rap with intimidating flair … or at least a straight face. But B-doe just can’t even. He can’t even at all. And no one who ever heard the guttural yet sweet tinkling laugh of baby Quintin could stay cold either. Well, unless they were totally dead inside and needed their heart and/or feelings checked by a qualified medical professional.
