(KSL News) A man led police on a chase through two counties Tuesday night.
It began when someone stole a pickup truck in Layton. Police gave chase but called it off in Centerville.
Highway Patrol troopers picked up the chase on I-15 and put out tire spikes. The suspect swerved around the spikes and nearly hit a trooper's car.
It ended in West Jordan, but not before a trooper attempting a pit maneuver ran into a power pole. He wasn't injured.
Officers arrested Keith Hortman on charges including vehicle theft and felony fleeing.
