BMX DAY CAMP — I want everyone to take a moment and go back to being 6 years old.
What kinds of things were you doing? Maybe playing with G.I. Joes or Barbies? Maybe fighting your mom about nap time? Or maybe you spent most of your day riding your big wheel or trying to figure out how to ride without training wheels.
That's definitely not what 6-year-old Brody Ervin is doing. Brody has been riding a bike since he was 1 and started doing tricks not long after that. Brody's dad Casey Ervin rode BMX for a stunt team and Brody wanted to be just like dad.
Yesterday's Have You Seen This?
Brody, however, wasn't happy just riding a bike. He wanted to be a world record-holder. And in this video, Brody becomes the youngest person to ever land a backflip on a bike. That's right, a backflip. Most 6-year-olds have a tough time staying upright on two wheels and Brody is doing backflips. If you can pull off a backflip on a bike as smooth as Brody does, I'd love to hear about it in the comments. Even if there are some of you out there, there likely aren't many of you.
Brody is what I hope to be when I grow up: fearless, adventurous and super awesome. Maybe someday I'll reach his level. Congratulations, Brody. I can't wait to see the next trick.
