A KITCHEN COUNTERTOP NEAR YOU — I have a new jingle stuck in my head, and soon you will, too. Better yet, you'll never forget how to air fry a burger.
"Air-fried burgers: 10-15 minutes at 375. At 375 ... Remember to flip halfway."
The plot twist is that I don't air fry burgers, but other people in my house do. But guess who ends up cleaning the air fryer, because knowing what lurks inside that thing that has taken up way too much counter space is one of the many things that keeps me up at night.
So, I feel like a second verse to this jingle is in order, and it goes like this:
"Air-fryer cleaning: 2-3 minutes at 375. To melt down the grease. To melt down the grease. .... Don't pour it down the sink."
There's also the ceramic bowl I have to pour all the liquid grease into and wait for it to solidify back up so I can spatula it into the garbage, because ain't nobody reusing that freezer-burger grease with blackened bits of who-knows-what floating around in it to cook with. Yes, I know I likely create more work for myself, but let us remember who isn't the air-fryer burger cooker in the house.
I have digressed to a point of no return, so feel free to digress in the comment section for the next 10-15 minutes. But please keep the temperature to a maximum of 350 degrees.
