TAYLORSVILLE — Two people have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting on July 10 that killed a woman, police said Saturday.

Euziel De La Torre, 20, of West Jordan, was arrested, along with a 16-year-old male who was not identified, Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray said. The two men were arrested for investigation of murder, she said.

Two other people are also believed to be involved with the shooting, according to Gray. Investigators are currently reviewing charges for them.

The shooting took place near 4929 S. 1950 West in Taylorsville. Jawnie Lynn Wey, 48, was shot and later died from her injuries on July 19, according to police.

The Metro Gang Unit and West Jordan Police Department assisted Unified police in the investigation, Gray said.
