Vehicle connected with Colorado homicide case found burned in Utah

CASTLE DALE, Emery County — A vehicle believed to be connected with a Colorado homicide case was found burned Sunday in Emery County, authorities said in a statement Monday.

Emery County sheriff's officials didn't immediately say where in the county the vehicle was located. An image provided by the office shows it was found off a road near vegetation.

Officials asked the public on Friday to help authorities locate a Jeep Renegade believed to be a "key piece of evidence" in the Colorado homicide case.

Edgar Macias-Moreno, 24, of Hotchkiss, Colorado, was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Madelaine Loh, 27, also of Hotchkiss, Delta County (Colorado) Sheriff Fred McKee said on Thursday.

Macias-Moreno told investigators he killed Loh and dumped her body somewhere in Utah, McKee said. Investigators found Loh's body in Millard County Wednesday afternoon.

Delta County sheriff's investigators were processing the scene where the vehicle was found Monday, Emery County sheriff's officials added.
