FORT DUCHESNE — An Arizona woman who went missing from a home in Fort Duchesne on Saturday was found, officials said.

Sharon Wakayuta, 73, was reported missing on Saturday afternoon, but was later found, Fort Duchesne Police Department officials said on the agency’s Facebook page.

Police said she was transported to a hospital for an evaluation.

Wakayuta, who has dementia, walked away from a home in the La Mesa subdivision in Fort Duchesne, police said. Her family members previously said that she moved well and was able to quickly cover a lot of distance, according to police.

Police did not release any other details about the woman, including the exact time when she was located.
