SALT LAKE CITY — A woman is in critical condition after her Mini Cooper crashed head-on with a semitruck in Salt Lake City Friday morning, officials said.
The Mini Cooper and semitruck collided about 9:30 a.m. at 3400 West and Directors Row, according to Salt Lake City Fire Battalion Chief Ryan Mellor.
The Mini Cooper went underneath the semitruck, Mellor said. Emergency personnel cut the woman out of the car, and she was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash and the woman's identity have not yet been released.
