SARATOGA SPRINGS — Police on Tuesday identified an American Fork man who was killed in a rollover crash Monday afternoon.
Kevin Austill, 36, who was driving a pickup truck that rolled over, died in the crash, said Saratoga Springs police spokesman David Johnson.
Lisa Austill, 30, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to a hospital but has since been released, Johnson added.
Police responded to a report of a crash at 4639 S. Redwood Road shortly after 4 p.m. Monday after the vehicle rolled over. Johnson said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
A power pole was knocked down during the crash, and Rocky Mountain Power and the crash closed Redwood Road for a few hours as crews cleaned up the scene.
The couple was heading home from celebrating Valentine's Day early when the crash occurred, according to a GoFundMe page* set up by Kevin Austill's family. The page notes that Kevin Austill leaves behind 3-year-old and 7-month-old child.
"He was their whole life and they were his! The hole he’s left in our hearts is indescribable," according to a post on the site.
