SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo point guard Wes Clark, a transfer from Missouri, was cleared Tuesday to play for the Bulls and started against Syracuse.
Clark played three seasons for the Tigers before being dismissed last February for academic reasons and transferred to Buffalo. The NCAA barred him from playing this term because he enrolled late. He appealed and once his final grades were posted on Tuesday was cleared by the NCAA to play.
In his junior year at Missouri, Clark averaged 9.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists and started in all 25 games he was on the roster for until his dismissal.
Clark hit a 3-pointer on his first shot against Syracuse and led the Bulls with 11 points in the first half on 4-of-7 shooting. Buffalo trailed 36-27 at the break.
