LOGAN — An elderly man died Sunday after being critically injured in a two-vehicle crash in Logan Friday morning, according to Logan Police Capt. Curtis Hooley.
Seventy-year-old David Barr, of Nibley, was traveling northbound on 1000 West in a Subaru around 7 a.m. when he collided with an SUV traveling east on 200 South, Logan Police Lt. Troy Thurston said.
"The Subaru broadsided the SUV and flipped it up on its roof," Thurston said.
Barr was transported to a hospital by ambulance after a medical helicopter was unable to land at the scene, Logan Police Capt. Tyson Budge said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Budge said it was raining at the time but didn't know if that was a factor in the crash. Barr had the right of way and the driver of the SUV could be cited, pending an investigation, he added.
The crash is still under investigation.
