CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Sometime within the next four to six years, Yellowstone National Park is expected to reach its capacity for being able to handle all the vehicles that tourists drive through the park every year to see its sights. The National Park Service says potential solutions that will be discussed include instituting a reservation system or passenger shuttles to control the number of visitors during peak times for the busiest attractions in the park.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing a couple who stopped to help him alongside a road on Montana's Crow Indian Reservation. Jesus Deniz Mendoza pleaded guilty to the 2015 killings of Jason and Tana Shane. A U.S. judge said Thursday that he posed a continuing danger to society. Mendoza also shot the couple's grown daughter in the back as she was running away and fired or pointed his rifle at several others who tried to help the family.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A Wyoming man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murders of two good Samaritans who stopped to help him along a roadside on Montana's Crow Indian Reservation. Twenty-year-old Jesus Deniz Mendoza pleaded guilty in the July 2015 killings of Jason and Tana Shane. US District Judge Susan Watters said he posed a continuing danger to society.

POWELL, Wyo. (AP) — A bull bison that had wandered out of Yellowstone National Park was killed after being struck by a vehicle just east of the park near Wapiti, Wyoming. Wyoming Game and Fish warden Travis Crane says bison suffered severe head and leg injuries in the collision Sunday evening.
