It may not be popular to borrow money at the bank these days, but borrowing a bicycle at Westminster College is a different story.
The lavender bikes at Westminster are on loan for no charge.
A student we talked to says one of the bikes saved her in an emergency.
"One time I did use the bikes here because my bike had a flat, and it was very convenient," she said.
Westminster started with five bikes on Earth Day. Now there are 10.
"We do check out a lock, a helmet and a light to all our students so they ride safely," said Westminster spokesperson Kerry Case.
She says the free bikes are for faculty use also.
