The Real Salt Lake stadium is now in use as the state's Major League Soccer team tried out the new grass during practice today. But not everyone is excited.
The soccer players thought it was great being in their new stadium, even as construction crews continued to get it ready for their first home game there. A lot still has to be done.
But down the street, Shelly Rolfe is not at all excited the first home game there. She's worried about traffic, crowds of people around her home, and the noise. "The impact of people throwing trash, the noise, I mean, there's little kids that play in the neighborhood," she said.
The stadium will host two Real Salt Lake soccer games in October, along with some rugby matches and a junior college football bowl game this fall.
