Some 260 people have signed a petition asking the Weber School District to reinstate a drama teacher fired in the wake of criminal charges.
Kamron Klitgaard was fired in February after pornography was found on his school and home computers. He says the pictures were the result of pop-up advertising.
Weber County prosecutors filed felony exploitation of a child charges, but dropped the case in July. Prosecutors said they lacked evidence that Klitgaard knew the material was on the computers, and some images were dated before he owned the machines.
Blake Boulton, a 2004 Roy graduate, drafted the petition and says Klitgaard should get his job back.
A district spokesman says no hearing can be held until all legal matters are resolved. Roy's city attorney still could file misdemeanor charges against Klitgaard for accessing pornography on a school computer.
