(KSL News) Two West Jordan families are homeless after fire damaged the home they share.
Firefighters were called to the house near 3300 West and 9000 South around 2 a.m. They quickly knocked down the flames, but the fire had significantly damaged the home.
Fire officials say the house did not have working smoke detectors. One of the residents smelled the fire and was able to alert everyone else inside and get them to safety.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
