(KSL News) Our staff at KSL is never afraid to roll up its sleeves for a little hard work. But it's much more enjoyable when it's for a good cause.
Many workers spent the morning putting some new and brightly-colored paint inside the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake. Others helped outside by picking up trash, pulling weeds and trimming trees.

Then our volunteers helped assemble thousands of "smiley bags" full of dental essentials for children, along with some fun stuff. Volunteers with the group Sealants for Smiles will hand the bags to low income children in four Utah counties.
Sealants for Smiles CEO Dr. Roger Adams said, "What many people don't realize is that right here in our backyards, we have children that will never have access to the dentist."

The group -- at no charge -- will apply sealant to the children's molars to help prevent dental disease. It was all part of Bonneville Communications' Day of Caring project for the United Way.
