(KSL News) The lawyers for a Weber County woman are seeking to get child abuse charges against her dismissed.

Camille Randles was charged with child abuse and obstruction of justice in connection with the death of her infant daughter. Her boyfriend, Trevor Thomas Grover strangled 3-month old Aroura in 2006.

Prosecutors say Randles admitted to watching Grover abuse the child on several occasions before she was killed. But her lawyers say she should not face charges because her admissions came while testifying against Grover at his murder trial.

Grover is now serving 15 years to life in prison for the crime.
