SALT LAKE CITY— Simplus, a Salesforce implementation partner in Sandy, recently announced that it has successfully raised $7 million in Series A Funding and acquired Baldpeak Consulting, a Salesforce Quote-to-Cash billing expert.

Salesforce Ventures invested more than $1 million in the funding round, making the company the only Quote-to-Cash consultancy to receive Salesforce funding. This successful round positions Simplus, the oldest and largest Quote-to-Cash company, to further dominate the Salesforce marketplace.

“Following the acquisition of Steelbrick by Salesforce, we realized Salesforce would need a scale partner to handle growth and its customers would need a partner to help them implement the software,” said Ryan Westwood, CEO of Simplus. “We are fortunate to be backed by Salesforce Ventures, and we plan to use the funding to acquire other Salesforce Quote-to-Cash partners in our journey to grow the best team of experts in the world.”

Why is Simplus growing so quickly? In addition to being an efficient and cost-effective consultancy, the Quote-to-Cash market is expanding quickly because of the many benefits that businesses receive from Quote-to-Cash software. Here are three reasons you may want to consider Quote-to-Cash software for your business.

It’s in the cloud

Every business has some form of quote-to-cash process. It’s the base on which customer service and business pathways rest. By automating this process with a system that utilizes a cloud-based platform, you can open the door for significant business growth with less effort and less collaboration required within departments.

“People can save a great deal of time spent in updating, filling, and printing documents,” wrote TechieStuffs. “In addition, cloud computing prevents double work and efforts.” This is because data is stored in the cloud and not isolated on one department’s computer system.

You can eliminate redundancy

This system reduces or eliminates redundancy in data input because information is accessible on multiple platforms specific to company departments. The Salesforce Quote-to-Cash software includes CPQ, billing and invoicing, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud capabilities based on the data you put in— once. The system can be customized to fit a system that is unique to your business and inventory. When the need to input, track, or transfer data is reduced, it means employees can focus on tasks that help the business grow, like interacting with customers and securing future sales leads.

“Just imagine the exciting possibilities of job management by using this tool,” wrote Andrew Terry of Simplus. “When time means the difference between securing a sale or watching it slip by, implementing a tool that streamlines processes like contract management, billing processing/invoicing, tracking inventory, quickly quoting figures, and providing more accurate forecasting could be the gamechanger in your sales productivity.”

Simplus is on standby with Salesforce certification

Salesforce continues to write the book on innovative as it offers varying levels of certification programs that enable a company to handle and troubleshoot automation issues in-house.

“Getting certified has allowed me to develop better solutions for my users,” wrote Gorav Seth, a Salesforce certified user. “I think experience is more important than a certification, but together they are valuable.”

Seth added that it’s not the certification alone but what you learn in the process of studying for it that adds value.

But should a company opt to turn those duties over to service implementation company, such as Simplus, a company’s automation is backed by Salesforce experience and technologies. This relationship ensures your company is using the latest technology with the most current updates.

If you haven’t considered your quote-to-cash processes lately, maybe it’s time you did. An automated system could improve shipping, inventory, and invoicing methods. And that means improved customer retention, smoother office processes, and exciting profit potential. New state-of-the-art cloud-based automation implemented by a leading service company? That means more money for you in the long run, and that makes good sense. Dr. Amy Osmond Cook is an award-winning health, lifestyle, and technology writer.
