SOUTH JORDAN — A Riverton man has been sentenced to jail for unlawful sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy in the sauna area of a fitness club.

Brynnen Douglas Green, 27, pleaded guilty in July to unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony. In exchange for his plea, charges of sexual abuse of a minor, a class A misdemeanor, and lewdness, a class B misdemeanor, were dismissed.

On Thursday, Green was given a suspended prison sentence, but he was ordered to serve six months in the Salt Lake County Jail followed by three years of probation. He was also ordered to undergo a psychosexual evaluation and abide by all conditions of the Utah Sex Offender Registry.

In February, a 14-year-old boy walked into the sauna area of Life Time Fitness, 10996 S. River Front Parkway. Police say Green, who was also in the sauna, removed his towel and beckoned the boy to sit next to him. He then removed the boy's towel and performed several sex acts, the charges state.
