(KSL News) The search for a Salt Lake shooting suspect turned up empty, even though police waited overnight to try to catch him.
Officers and the SWAT team staked out a Salt Lake City convenience store for nine hours, thinking the suspect was inside. But when they finally got a search warrant, the suspect was nowhere to be found.
The search came after officers found a man who'd been shot in the leg unconscious in his car at 1500 S. State Street. That man is in stable condition.
Police believe the suspect and the victim knew each other.
