The last big summer holiday is upon us, and so is the holiday traffic. That means more law enforcement officers will be out on the roads as well.
Whether on motorcycles or in patrol cars, Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Amy Fallows says UHP is putting a lot of law enforcement out on the roadways this weekend.
"Being the last holiday of the season before summer ends, and football season's starting with tailgating parties, and also last camping trips, last boating trips. A lot of those activities may involve alcohol," she said.
They not only will be looking for drunk drivers, they'll also be watching for people who haven't secured their loads, whether it be camping trailers or tailgating equipment in a pickup truck that could fall out and cause all kinds of problems.
