BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Romania's health ministry says the agriculture ministers of Romania and Kuwait are receiving hospital treatment for minor injuries after being involved in a car crash.
The ministry said Agriculture Minister Achim Irimescu and Kuwaiti counterpart Ali Saleh Al-Omair sustained head injuries Thursday morning in southern Romania after the car they were traveling was involved in a collision with another car.
The ministry said both ministers were conscious and not in any danger. An interpreter traveling in the same car also had minor injuries.
The three are being treated at the County Hospital in Slobozia, close to where the crash occurred. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
Al-Omair is on a five-day visit to Romania.
