PARK CITY — A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 40 just north of Park City Friday afternoon, police said.

The Utah Department of Transportation reported that one eastbound lane was closed while crews investigated the crash.

A Utah Highway Patrol spokesperson said a Chevrolet Trailblazer was going east on U.S. 40 around 2 p.m. when it went off the road for an unknown reason.

The driver overcorrected and the vehicle went across both lanes of travel and went off the road on the other side and rolled multiple times. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The man driving the Trailblazer was killed. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, UHP said.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
