WEST VALLEY CITY — A bridge received cosmetic damage only when a dump truck crashed into it Thursday morning, according to UDOT.
The dump truck — with its bed up — was eastbound on State route 201 early Thursday when the bed hit the bridge at Bangerter Highway, according to UHP. The impact ripped off the bed, troopers said.
A semitruck then hit the bed and spilled hydraulic fluid on the freeway.

It took crews several hours to clean up the mess.
UDOT declared the bridge structurally sound.
