SHELLEY, Idaho (AP) — An Army soldier who was missing in action during the Korean War is to be buried in his hometown of Shelley, Idaho. DNA and other evidence helped identify the remains of Army Corporal Charles B. Crofts, who was 19 when he was reported missing in 1950.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Public Charter School Commission has placed three schools on financial notice as part of the state's recent efforts to protect taxpayers from financially unstable charter schools. It was the first time the commission had placed three schools on financial notice since the Idaho Legislature changed charter school accountability laws nearly three years ago.
SHOHONE, Idaho (AP) — The mother of a 3-year-old boy found wandering alone in Shoshone is facing marijuana and child endangerment charges. The Times-News reports that police were called after the 3-year-old walked into a neighbor woman's home Friday morning.
NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Southwest Idaho police have identified a man they say was involved in an exchange of gunfire with another man that resulted in a 10-year-old girl being struck in the shoulder by a stray bullet. Authorities on Friday say a warrant has been issued for 19-year-old Mario Garza on charges of aggravated assault with a gang enhancement and rioting.
