ACCEPTANCEVILLE — All our lives, we're told to follow our passion and to never give up on our dreams. This seems like great advice, but TV show host Mike Rowe calls that baloney and says it's time to give up on that dream.
The "Dirty Jobs" host gave an online commencement speech for PragerU.com and gave some contradictory advice that makes way too much sense. I have long been an advocate of following my passion and never giving up on my dreams, but Rowe has made me believe otherwise.
The charismatic TV personality explains that when we follow our passions, we often miss out on opportunities. It's so simple it makes me sick, but I'm also glad I heard it. What Rowe says may hurt your feelings a bit, but it's spot on and it's advice we should all take to heart.
Watch the video, get inspired and have a serious epiphany when you hear Rowe say, "Don't follow your passion, but always bring it with you."
