(KSL News) -- Investigators aren't sure what caused a house in West Valley to go up in flames.
A woman was inside the house, located at 1509 S 2780 W, when the fire started. She tried to put the fire out herself, but it was too big.
Kris Romijn, West Valley Fire Dept. "The crews say that they had heavy smoke and flames upon their arrival. They had flames blowing out the east side."
The woman suffered second-degree burns on her wrist. Crews estimate the fire caused between 80 and 100 thousand dollars in damage. They say the house is a total loss.
