(KSL News) A Salt Lake family ran for safety when their house caught fire in the middle of the night.
Neighbors smelled smoke just before midnight at 900 W. 300 North.
The fire started in the attic. Crews say there was some sort of electrical problem.
Everyone got out okay and firefighters stopped the flames before they caused too much damage.
The family spent the night somewhere else. No word on when they'll be allowed back home.
