(KSL News) Two and a half hours from Salt Lake City to Chicago.

Nearly 14 hours from Chicago to Beijing.

It has been a long day of traveling for the KSL Olympic team.

They arrived in Beijing at about 2:45am MST. The time difference between Beijing and Utah is +14 hours, with Beijing being ahead.

Sports Director Tom Kirkland, Anchor/Reporter Amanda Butterfield, Reporter Alex Cabrero, Producer Chris Moore, and Photographer Marc Weaver are now trying to fight off the jet lag as they prepare to bring local Olympic coverage to Utah.

They join Photographer/Engineer Taylor Wilson, who has already been in China for two weeks setting up the necessary equipment to bring stories back to Utah.

The 2008 Beijing Summer Games begin on Friday, August 8.

KSL's team now has a few days to learn how to get around Beijing, find the right trains, and pick out some stories Utah viewers might be interested in.
