PAROWAN — The search for Daniel Brown — a man who has been missing since March 28 in Iron County — has been called off, according to Lieutenant Del Schlosser of the Iron County Sheriff’s Office.
Brown, 34, went missing after he left his wife and children whose vehicle became stuck on a mountain road near Kane Springs just northwest of Parowan. Brown’s wife and four children, ages 7 months to 11 years old, were found in good condition by deputies by tracking Brown’s wife’s cell phone.
A full-scale search began March 30 and was officially deemed a recovery effort the next day.
The family is still hopeful Brown is alive, while aware of the increasingly direness of his situation, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office reported. Authorities will continue to follow any leads given to them by the public who may contact their office at 435-867-7550 with any information.
Brown was last seen in a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and athletic shoes.
