ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- Southern Utah agencies know there will be some adjusting after state-run offices start a four-day workweek.
They're just not sure what will need tweaking quite yet.
Washington County clerk/auditor Cal Robison says he doesn't foresee any major issues developing after the state's four-day plan begins next week. He says it only means certain state offices will not be open on Friday, so some things will have to wait.
Robison says there is a list of emergency numbers for use on Fridays for issues that crop up that can't wait until Monday.
The Utah Association of Counties recently sent out a survey about four-day weeks. There were 18 responses from the counties. Some said they have already had some sort of alternative workweek in place for some offices, and more said they were considering it.
