SANDY — Police are investigating the death of a man found face down in a hot tub Tuesday.
Steven Tew, 54, of Sandy, was found "face down, unconscious and unresponsive" in a hot tub at VASA Fitness, 7990 S. 1300 East, about 9:20 a.m. Other gym members pulled him out and began performing CPR. Paramedics also attempted lifesaving measures when they arrived but were unsuccessful, said Sandy Police Sgt. Dean Carriger.
Tew's body was taken to the Utah State Medical Examiner's Office to determine a cause of death.
