"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has taken in a galactic $238 million over the weekend, according to studio estimates, making it the biggest North American debut of all time. It destroys the previous opening record set by "Jurassic World," which drew $208.8 million this summer.

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military and Lebanese security officials say three rockets fired from Lebanon have landed in Israel. No damage or injuries have been reported. The rocket fire comes after a fighter from the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah (hez-BUH'-lah) was killed in an airstrike in Syria. Hezbollah says Israeli planes carried out the strike, and has vowed revenge. The dead militant, Samir Kantar, spent nearly 30 years in an Israeli prison before being returned to Lebanon in a controversial prisoner exchange.
