A telemarketing company in Provo is in trouble for breaking the so-called two-second rule. The company has been slapped with a big fine.

The two-second rule was put in place because people thought they were being stalked when they answered the phone and nobody was talking on the other end.

Star Satellite of Provo is accused of breaking the rule. It's agreed to pay a $75,000 fine to the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC had originally been trying to exact a $4.3-million penalty.
