WEST VALLEY CITY -- A four-vehicle crash shuts down a busy intersection in West Valley this morning, and sends three people to the hospital.
It happened around six a-m.
That's when police say a van traveling south on 2700 West ran a red light and hit a westbound sedan on 4100 South.
Officers say the sedan spun around, and hit two other vans.
Authorities say three women were injured. Two were airlifted to the hospital, while the other was taken by ambulance.
Detectives say alcohol may have played a role in the accident, which remains under investigation.
