Samantha Hayes Reporting Pictures of Destiny Norton are posted all over the valley, thanks to hundreds of volunteers, but with so little information to go on, Destiny's grandmother hopes a close friend can uncover what most volunteers could not.

When something as terrible as this happens, you want someone with experience on the scene. Sandafer Logan has that experience and she's volunteering her time and her expertise to this case.

Koli Walker: "We are just wondering who took her and why."

But at this point, three days after the girl disappeared, the evidence is not in plain sight. Eyes and ears are good, but a nose may be better. Heidi, a German Shepherd can smell odors that are days old. If Destiny Norton walked through Liberty Park, it's possible this dog would recognize her scent.

Sandofer Logan, Sar K-9 Foundation: "She just picks up on it and she's so willing to work, loves to work."

Sandofer Logan trains dogs for this very purpose.

Sandofer Logan: "This is about a five-year old little girl out there in the heat, lost."

First the dog had to learn Destiny's scent.

Sandofer Logan: "I have a pair of her underwear, which I requested because I felt that would be the least contaminated article we could possibly use."

If there is no trace of the little girl, that is helpful information too. This area can be crossed off.

Sandofer Logan: "Tips would come in and we would check each and every one of them out."

She relays that information to local officers and the F.B.I. nd plans to continue the search every day this week.

Another search is being organized tomorrow by parents who have experienced the trauma of losing a child firsthand. Kevin Bardsley, father of Garrett Bardsley and Toby Hawkins, father of Brendan Hawkins are organizing a search up Emigration Canyon tomorrow at 6 am to 1 pm, and then at 6 pm.
