Andrew Adams and AP reportingThere are so few positive drug tests in the Cache County School District that the substance abuse division director at the Bear River Health Department told administrators, "If these numbers are accurate, man, you've got some good kids."

District officials believe it's more likely students are cheating, drawing their tests from toilet water or pouring in some water from the sink.

The school district wrapped up its first year of testing of students involved in after-school activities, from athletics to the debate team and drama and music programs.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports at Mountain Crest High School only seven of 900 students tested positive, and many of those were on a prescription.

Other public schools in Cache County also turned up few offenders from the testing.

Students who fail the test can be kicked out of school programs but aren't referred to police.

The testing is meant to alert parents and get kids help.
