HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Marshall University has three new degree programs that will go along with the university's new engineering facility, set to open this fall.
The Herald-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1Nt59HR ) reports that Marshall's Board of Governors approved the addition of the three engineering-based degrees, as well as the elimination of a business degree, during its regular meeting Wednesday.
The board approved a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering, a master of science in mechanical engineering and a master of science in biomechanics during the meeting.
The board also voted to eliminate a bachelor of business administration degree in risk management and insurance.
The changes are set to go into effect for the fall 2015 semester, which begins Aug. 24.
