ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — A new regional career and technical education facility in Aberdeen is scheduled to open in the fall.
The Aberdeen School District received a $2 million career and technical education grant from the state last year to build the Aberdeen Technical Education Center and expand course offerings.
The facility is on the campus of Central High School. Students from Aberdeen and from the Northwestern Area, Frederick Area and Warner school districts will begin taking classes there in the fall.
Members of the South Dakota Board of Education toured the center on Monday.
