EDEN, Utah (AP) — Reduced water flow in the Powder Mountain area has led the state Division of Drinking Water to put a halt on Weber County construction until a new water source is approved.
The Standard-Examiner of Ogden reports that an April 22 letter from the state agency asked Weber not to issue building permits for a planned development near a ski resort. The county has already received applications for the proposed subdivision.
Powder Mountain Water & Sewer District told county planners it will serve the area.
But drinking water department director Kenneth Bousfield said the area's source of water, Pizzel Spring, has been flowing at a reduced volume.
