Randall Jeppesen reportingUtah's 3rd District Congressman Chris Cannon is going to have to put up a tough fight to keep his seat in Washington.
A KSL-TV Deseret News poll shows among those that consider themselves strong Republicans, Chris Cannon has a decent lead.
But add in the rest of the voters and Cannon only leads his challenger, Jason Chaffetz, by two points.
The Republican primary is only open to Republicans and Independents willing to register as Republicans, but Chaffetz holds a large lead among those potential Independent voters.
